ANdaz Scottsdale Wedding
The Andaz Scottsdale Resort is one of the newer features of the greater Phoenix area. When it opened in December of 2016, it represented the first new resort the area had seen in nearly seven years. It is certainly a spectacular one, with a vivid layout for guests.
Comprising the grounds of the former Cottonwoods resort area, The Andaz Scottsdale was designed to emphasize Arizona’s traditional merging of art and nature. Thus, guests will certainly note that the property has been carefully curated to emphasize the beauty of the surrounding Sonoran Desert, offering stunning views of Camelback Mountain as a centerpiece.
Brief History of Andaz Scottsdale resort
There are many things that guests at your Andaz Scottsdale wedding will notice. One of the most loved aspects is the landscaping which features anything from sprawling lawns to shaded groves and a stunning cactus garden. The resort’s architecture heavily features innovative design trends and takes advantage of the beautiful scenery. Floor to ceiling windows are a common feature, utilizing the area’s natural light.
While the grounds provide a myriad of settings for photographs, you’ll also appreciate the intricacy of detail in the buildings themselves. From the Guest House to the many bungalows, guests will note the emphasis on displaying a variety of art with many pieces commissioned from the nearby Cattle Track Artist Compound.
Noteworthy features
Cholla Lawn
A great choice for your Andaz Scottsdale wedding, Cholla Lawn’s greenery is the perfect juxtaposition with the desert views in the distance. You’ll find this area surrounded by orange trees and tall saguaro cacti. With the mountain backdrop, this setting is sure to stun your guests. This setting will hold 300 seated or 400 standing guests.
Albers Lawn
If you prefer the lush landscape of Cholla Lawn but desire a smaller setting, Albers Lawns is a great choice. This area will support 110 seated guests or 200 standing. This space provides many options as it is comprised of three interconnecting lawns, allowing you to be as creative as you desire with the format and flow of your nuptials.
Foundry Ballroom
One of the most popular locations, the Foundry Ballroom has an intriguing design that actively supports big events. A large, shaded terrace provides a fun place for guests to mingle while an adjoining kitchen increases the options for providing service to guests. This elegant setting can host up to 220 seated guests or 240 standing while the terrace can hold an additional 100 to 180 people.
Sonoran Lawn
A more intimate space that is far from short on beauty, the Sonoran Lawn can hold 75 standing guests. Here, you will see a lushly landscaped lawn next to some of the Andaz Scottsdale Resort’s modern bungalows. Tall trees and palms make for great places to capture stunning photographs.
Studio Ballroom & Lawn
The Studio Ballroom overlooks the Studio Lawn, making these two spaces great choices for those who want to mix an indoor wedding and outdoor reception or vice versa. They can also each be reserved separately as well. The ballroom features The Andaz Scottsdale’s iconic floor-to-ceiling windows while the lawn is perfect for stringing twinkling lights to dance the night away beneath starlit skies. You can entertain up to 250 seated and 500 standing guests here.
Accommodations for Ceremonies and Receptions
The Andaz Scottsdale Resorts has many different price ranges for guests. Areas such as the Sonoran and Studio Lawns begin at $2,000 for rental. Meanwhile, larger areas like the Cholla Lawn and Albers Lawn start at $4,500 with other locations falling in between.
For a reception, The Andaz Scottsdale offers five different menus. These range from $145 per person to $229 per person. Most menus include hors d’oeuvres, salad, entrees, sides, and a wedding cake. There are options for specialty cakes that can be added on as well as a variety of choices for bar service.
