As wedding photographers, sometimes we find a place that is so beautiful, we have to take a moment to just gaze in awe. This is certainly the case with the Omni Montelucia. This resort features a beautiful Mediterranean-style retreat with lush green gardens and gorgeous architecture. When juxtaposed against the surrounding desert scenery and majesty of Camelback Mountain, it creates a dream-like look that is exceptional for a picture perfect Omni Scottsdale wedding.

A relatively new property, this resort was established in 2008 as the Montelucia Resort & Spa. While not as old as other area resorts, it has already earned a significant reputation, being named one of the Best Hotels in the USA by U.S. News & World Report and winning a Reader’s Choice Award from Condé Nast Traveler.
The original inspiration for this property was the Andalusian hills of Southern Spain, contributing to its Mediterranean charm. It was acquired by Omni Hotels & Resorts in 2014 and rebranded as the Omni Montelucia. Today, guests can find Old World touches combined with modern luxury across the property’s 293 guest rooms and 75,000-plus square feet of outdoor space.
When you take some time to walk around this property, you will find many touches that make this a truly beautiful venue for Omni weddings. One of the ones that these Omni wedding photographers love is the Alhambra Walkway. This fountain-lined path connects the resort to the Montelucia neighborhood. It is a prime location for beautiful photos of the bride and groom.
Another unique aspect of this Scottsdale wedding venue is the imported, hand-crafted tile that can be found on the property. Tiles from the early 1800s once served as flooring at a tavern in the Spanish province of Granada. They are one of many aspects that add charm and history to this resort. In fact, as you explore this property, you’ll find a number of areas indicative of Mediterranean culture including a Kashbah pool, decorative Moroccan plates, and a bell the used to line Spain’s El Camino Real.
Your Omni Scottsdale wedding can be held in a variety of accommodations. The following are some of our favorites.
The Alhambra Ballroom
Rich colors and plenty of room for dancing make the Alhambra Ballroom a highly coveted space for Omni weddings. This room can hold up to 450 guests for a reception. It supports 9,200 square feet of space and can be combined with an outdoor terrace for an additional 6,300 square feet.
Chef’s Kitchen Patio
Couples who are planning an intimate Scottsdale Omni wedding may be drawn to this charming area. At 2,500 square feet, the Chef’s Kitchen patio can host up to 50 guests for a ceremony and reception. Lined with citrus trees and seasonal produce grown for the resort’s restaurant, this patio features Spanish doorways, custom millwork, and hammered brass finishes.
Catillo Lucena
Imagine a pathway of flower petals while you make your entrance down the aisle surrounded by friends and family. Designed with the inspiration of Andalusian churches, guests love the stunning wooden beams and iconic wood flooring. This room hosts 120 guests and can be quickly converted from ceremony to reception.
Valencia Lawn
Some of the most beautiful pictures these Omni wedding photographers have ever taken were at the Valencia Lawn. With a captivating backdrop of Camelback Mountain, this 6,500 square foot space is the perfect outdoor space for up to 350 guests.
When planning your Scottsdale Omni Monelucia wedding, you have a variety of options. The setup cost for your wedding will vary from $2,500 to $7,500 depending upon the space and choices. During peak season, this cost begins at $6,000. Food and beverage must be arranged with the venue. Packages begin at $175 per person and increase based on individual selections.
