Just a short drive west of Phoenix, you will find the charming town of Litchfield Park and the Wigwam resort. With a location in the West Valley, the Wigwam resort bills itself as a place for intimate luxury. Here, the beauty of the Sonoran desert is only rivaled by the carefully manicured 440 acres of beauty and bliss. With several restaurants, a luxury spa, and a 54-hole gold course, the Wigwam resort has everything anyone would need to plan an iconic wedding.

The Wigwam resort has an extensive history dating all the way back to the 1900s. It was first established as a tiny lodge with the goal of serving the area which was primarily used for cotton ranching at the time. In fact, this original lodge is still present on the property today, known as the Organizational House. In 1929, it officially became a resort. The area saw gradual yet consistent expansion efforts in the time since, today being host to over 100,000 square feet of event spaces, making it perfect for Wigwam weddings. The Wigwam resort also features nine tennis courts, three swimming pools, and three championship-caliber golf courses along with award-winning restaurants. In just over 100 years, it has transformed from a quaint lodge to a luxurious resort.
As you enter the gates of the Wigwam resort, you cannot help but be taken in by the beautiful, lush greenery. The juxtaposition of lush lawns and swaying palm trees against the desert landscape in the background is one of the many reasons why couples find this to be an idyllic setting. Of course, another major feature of the Wigwam resort are the extensive villas and casitas in hacienda style architecture. The crisp white exteriors further help enhance the natural appeal of the surrounding landscape. Taken together, the resort itself features heavily with adobe and timber, making it a beautiful representation of its rich history in the West Valley. As a comprehensive resort, you can even plan your entire wedding around the venue from a spa day to a golf outing and many other exciting activities for bridesmaids, groomsmen, and guests alike. Of course, there are no shortage of romantic spots for photographs, something we truly adore about Wigwam weddings.
Wigwam Ballroom
The centerpiece of Wigwam resort, Wigwam Ballroom can host up to 1,000 guests, making it the perfect setting for large weddings. Furthermore, with built-in sound and video systems, adding multimedia content to your celebration is easy. Another benefit of this space is the wide array of potential layouts.
Mojave Ballroom
For a smaller space, look no further than the Mojave Ballroom. This space can fit up to 600 guests, making it a flexible event space. In addition to a top tier sound system to keep the party going all night long, it also has an electronically controlled lighting system that can set the mood for your Wigwam wedding.
Wigwam Lawn & Patio
The Wigwam resort’s most celebrated outdoor event space, the Wigwam Lawn & Patio feature 6,500 square feet of lush landscaping. This provides an excellent location for an outdoor ceremony or reception. It is bordered by a beautiful fountain to the west that makes an excellent backdrop while flowering plants such as roses can be found surrounding the perimeter. Many couples love this space for its openness and photogenic appearance. Fit 250 to 500 guests for this area. Need more area? The citrus-lined Front Lawn can host up to 1,000 guests.
Trellis Garden
Our favorite aspect of the Wigwam resort is the Trellis Garden, which is a magical space for your Wigwam wedding, particularly if you prefer evening festivities. Here, you can fit up to 300 guests who will enjoy the fragrant smells of citrus in this space that feels quite intimate despite the size. Twinkling lights and hedges create a great ambiance that can help augment the feeling of romance in the air.
Litchfield Patio
If you want to create a more casual environment for socializing during your reception but still appreciate some touches of elegance, the Litchfield Patio makes for a great choice. This area has a beautiful backdrop and can host up to 125 people. With stone and wood décor and plenty of chairs for seating, it provides a contrast to the more open spaces referenced above. This is one of several smaller patios and terraces offered by Wigwam resorts, but by far our favorite of the smaller settings.
If you’ve decided that the Wigwam resort is the perfect place for your nuptials, you will be able to find a variety of pricing options. Ceremonies cost $3,000 which includes your choice of an indoor or outdoor space along with white garden chairs, valet parking, changing rooms, and various other accoutrements. There are several packages for receptions, titled Beloved, Bliss, Everlasting, and Forever. These range from $180 to $280 per person. All packages include setup for cocktail hour, reception, a champagne toast, wedding cake, and an overnight suite for the happy couple.
