Creating a Classic & Timeless Luxury Wedding Experience: A Four Seasons Scottsdale Wedding
Morgan and Joey’s Four Seasons Scottsdale Wedding was a breathtaking black-tie formal affair set in the Arizona desert. Our couple was born and raised in Scottsdale, then moved to Los Angeles, where they decided home was the perfect destination for their wedding. Morgan and Joey love The Four Seasons Scottsdale because it offers the perfect blend of organic desert elements with an elevated luxury feel. The Four Seasons Scottsdale was the first and only venue they toured to host their wedding; it embodied who they are as a couple and their vision of creating a perfect classic and timeless luxury wedding experience for everyone invited.

We loved being an instrumental part of Morgan and Joey’s wedding day. These two met in high school and had been together for over ten years before saying, “I Do!” However, the way these two looked at each other, like two teenagers still madly in love. Joey blushed when Morgan looked at him, and her eyes filled with tears at his breath taken expression. Then, both were eager to get into each other’s arms to say hello; I missed you, I love you, and you look incredible. It was one of the sweetest, most genuine, and heartwarming moments we, as wedding photographers, have the honor of documenting.
The Ceremony
The guests began to take their seats on the serene ceremony lawn of the Fountain Terrace. They enjoyed the breathtaking view of Pinnacle Peak, filling the skyline beyond, creating an unforgettable Arizona destination wedding for all. A stunning creation of all-white Playa Blanca Roses, Ranunculus, Majolika Spray Roses, Lisianthus, and Hydrangeas with touches of Lemon Leaf, Italian Ruscus, and baby breath graced the altar behind them, reaching high into the soft blue sky. In addition, beautiful chandeliers suspended above the walkways lined the ceremony lawn; stunningly, they glistened in the sun and moonlight throughout the evening.
The Wedding Cake
Placed just beyond the floral altar was a magnificent three-tiered wedding cake. The top two tiers were chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream and decadent chocolate mousse. The bottom tier was a bright lemon cake layered with creamy vanilla custard and sweet and rich vanilla buttercream. A nice, lightly sweetened Swiss buttercream lined the cake and topped with gold leaf foil fresh Playa Blanca Roses, Majolika Spray Roses, and white Ranunculus.
Off to the side of the ceremony lawn sat a painter working diligently to capture the desert landscape, ambiance, and the ceremony as Morgan & Joey were married, a treasured gift from the groom’s sister. Their officiant was a close friend who had known Morgan & Joey for over ten years. The fact that he knew them both individually before they met and started dating made him quite the comedian. It was clear how much love and admiration they all shared for one another.
Cocktail Hour
As cocktail hour commenced, the clouds rolled in, and winds picked up. The gold accents and gorgeous florals continued with stunning tablescapes and beautiful shelving displays offering guests champagne flutes. The champagne wall was a lovely feature, each flute lined with a name and table number, allowing guests to find seats with a fresh drink. Members of the Four Seasons event staff warmly greeted each guest at their tables with a luxurious black plush blanket. Then, with guests cozy in their seats, a live band known as Miles 2 Go, which consisted of Morgan’s Aunt, Uncle and Cousin, played into the beginning of the reception. We loved the personal touch of a family band entertaining the crowd, creating a memorable moment for our couple.
The Reception
After a flawless and expertly executed dinner service, our couple, through tear-filled eyes, listened to those toasting them with love and success. Then, they stood as the painter presented them with their completed masterpiece, smiles beaming; deciding where it would be hung in their home. Then, excitedly they hugged each guest. Making our way to the ballroom to dance and light up the night with sparklers. It couldn’t have been a more perfect beginning to the rest of their lives.
Advice From The Couple
And Lastly, Morgan would like to offer advice to all those brides out there reading this post. “Enjoy the process. It can become overwhelming, especially during those final weeks, but try not to sweat the small stuff. Prioritize the parts of the wedding that are the most important to you and your partner, and focus on those. The rest will fall into place as it should.”
